Hire Assets is designed to help both hirers and owners transact with more confidence through verified accounts, secure payments, reviews, owner control, and a clear dispute process.

Verified Profiles

Every Hire Assets account requires a verified email address. Equipment owners can review hirer profiles, reviews, and hire history before accepting a booking, helping them make more informed decisions about who hires their equipment.

We may also use identity checks, profile checks, and platform moderation measures to help reduce fraud, improve trust, and support a safer marketplace experience.

Secure Payments

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Card details are not stored on Hire Assets servers, and bookings completed through the platform benefit from a protected payment flow rather than informal off-platform transfers.

For owners, payouts are processed through the platform and released to their bank account after the hire is completed, subject to any applicable holds, disputes, or platform checks.

Reviews & Reputation

Both hirers and owners can leave reviews after a completed transaction. This two-way review system helps create accountability on both sides of the marketplace and gives future users better information before they book or accept a booking.

Reviews are there to help users hire and list with more confidence.

Owner Control

As an equipment owner, you stay in control.

Owners can:

  • review hirer profiles before accepting
  • message hirers through the platform
  • set pricing and hire conditions
  • choose availability
  • accept or decline booking requests

This gives owners more control over who hires their equipment and on what terms.

Dispute Resolution

If something doesn’t go as expected, Hire Assets provides a dispute support process.

Contact our support team within 48 hours of the hire end date. We’ll review the booking history, platform messages, and evidence provided by both parties and work toward a fair resolution.

Where relevant, we may ask for:

  • photos
  • timestamps
  • booking details
  • platform messages
  • invoices, quotes, or other supporting material

Damage Protection

For launch, Hire Assets uses a damage deposit model rather than promising full marketplace insurance from day one.

Owners can require a refundable security deposit on a listing. This deposit is held through the payment process and refunded once the hire is complete and the equipment is returned as agreed, subject to any claims, disputes, or applicable processing timeframes.

If damage occurs, the owner can submit a claim with supporting evidence, and Hire Assets will facilitate the dispute process.

Keeping Bookings On-Platform Protects Both Sides

Keeping communication, bookings, and payments on-platform helps protect both hirers and owners. Payment protection, dispute support, and booking records are strongest when everything is handled through Hire Assets rather than privately off-platform.

What Hire Assets Does – and Doesn’t Do

Hire Assets is a marketplace that connects equipment owners with hirers. It is not a traditional hire depot and does not own most of the equipment listed on the platform.

Owners are responsible for listing accuracy, availability, and equipment condition. Hirers are responsible for using equipment lawfully, safely, and returning it in the agreed condition.
