Browse by keyword, category, or location, open a listing, check the details, and send a booking request or proceed with the booking flow shown on the listing.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Your payment details are handled through Stripe’s infrastructure and are not stored on Hire Assets servers
Cancellation outcomes depend on the booking status, the timing of the cancellation, and any applicable booking terms shown during the booking process.
Contact Hire Assets as soon as possible. We may review the booking history, platform messages, photos, and any other supporting information to help resolve the issue.
Some listings may have a minimum hire period set by the owner. If a minimum applies, it will be shown on the listing.
Some owners may allow same-day pickup, depending on availability and how quickly they can confirm your request.
That depends on the type of equipment, how it will be used, and your own circumstances. If you are unsure, you should make your own enquiries before booking.

For Owners
Yes. Listing equipment on Hire Assets is free. Owners only pay a platform fee when a booking is completed.
Payments are processed through Stripe, and payouts are released to the owner’s nominated bank account after the hire is completed, subject to any holds, disputes, or payment processing timeframes. Your project payment settings target payout release within 2 business days after hire completion.
Yes. Owners set their own hire rates, deposits, and listing details.
Owners can require a refundable security deposit on a listing. If damage occurs, submit a claim with photos and supporting evidence within 48 hours of the hire end date, and Hire Assets will assist with the dispute process.
Yes. Owners can manage availability and block out dates when their equipment is not available.
You can list equipment that is lawful, safe to hire out, and suitable for the platform, including tools, machinery, trailers, and related equipment categories.
Hire Assets requires a verified email address, and additional verification steps may be used to help protect the marketplace and improve trust.
Yes. Owners can list multiple items, provided each listing is accurate and complies with platform rules.
Payment & fees
Accepted payment methods will depend on the payment methods supported through Stripe at checkout. Usually all major credit and debit cards available in Australia.
Owners are paid after the hire is completed, subject to payment processing, any disputes, and platform checks. The target payout timing is within 2 business days after hire completion
Hire Assets charges owners a 12% platform fee on completed hires, with a $3 minimum fee.
No. Any service fee or booking-related charge should be shown clearly before payment is completed. Your fees page is also intended to explain the pricing model in plain language.
Safety & Trust
Every account requires a verified email address, and Hire Assets may use additional checks, moderation, and platform controls to help reduce fraud and improve trust.

If something goes wrong, contact Hire Assets within 48 hours of the hire end date. We may review booking history, platform messages, photos, timestamps, and other supporting evidence from both parties to help reach a fair resolution.
Hire Assets takes reasonable steps to protect personal information and uses third-party providers where needed to operate the platform, including payment and communications tools. Payments are handled through Stripe, and your privacy practices should be explained in the Privacy Policy.
